The text is salesy but I've seen him give free hourish talks on a couple of occasions and he seems to know his stuff. Spoke to a couple folks at a REIA who said it was good. The Goog mostly returns mentions of the course or his speaking engagements at REIAs around the country. Press releases. Nothing on ripoffreport.com.

Bueller?

He's local to Denver Colorado so far as I can tell but also has these in Los Angeles, Sacramento, Miami and Cincinnati / Dayton Ohio from time to time as well. Hopefully someone's heard of him.

Anythona Chara runs a 4 day apartment investing boot camp. Anyone heard of him / have any feedback on him or the course?

I don't know what others may think but if it continues to grow should we try and get a room? (no rimshots, ladies and gentlemen!) It seems to me that the background noise makes conversation difficult more than a few feet away. It could just be my hearing, possibly. Also, I wonder if the size of the table and thus who you can circle around it easily will a size constraint. Probably not an issue in the short term but something maybe we ought to keep in mind.

That too! :)

I grew up there, and didn't like the place at the time, but that was primarily just youth and angstiness. It's a decent town that I wouldn't mind moving back to.

Good luck. I heard Augusta GA was no place to be.*

I don't think Jon's negative at all. I've poked at him for bursting bubbles but think of him as the necessary voice of reason - he counsels caution and considering the full aspects of a problem, which often extends well beyond what someone expected it might.

Welcome to BP! Here's a couple of quick tips:
- set up your "My Keyword Alerts" to get notified when topics are being discussed. You might use "denver" "colorado" and "wholesaling" for example.
- stop by at the next Denver BP meetup. The location has moved to Gather (10th and Delaware?) 4th Monday at 6PM and the thread is here: http://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/86/topics/80565

Welcome! don't forget to set up your keyword alerts for things you might be interested in, like Denver, Colorado, Aurora (you'll probably get stuff in IL, too though! :) ), and whatever topics like rehab, foreclosure, what have you. There's a lot of posts and it can be quite difficult to keep up otherwise.

If that's the case, they could enjoy being a one time (or more) home seller, instead. ;) In any event, it's no reason not to invest on their behalf.

We've been thinking along similar lines, and some amount of gifting per year and unearned income from investments can be tax free. Here's a decent summary link:
