Two of my duplexes are set up essentially as twin homes, so each half has their own lawn and driveway. They do their own lawn maintenance.

My 3 others are up/down duplexes. I pay to have the lawn cut.

I have a new property with 2 apartments. One of them has a washer/dryer hookup, the other does not. I am trying to come up with a way to add laundry to the unit without.

Does anyone have experience with the compact units? The washers hook up to the sink. The dryers are 110V.

I use Rentec Direct for record keeping/accounting.

I use Cozy for screening and rent collection. You could use Cozy for almost everything.

Morrisville...right in my own back yard!

I purchased a townhome that was 1/2 of a duplex in the past. As it turns out, there was only one water service for both units and I was paying for the water!

I would suggest getting it fixed prior to closing.

In my area, all rentals have to be registered with the Township. They are then inspected by the Township. It sucks.

No, and not likely able to put one in.

Good evening everyone. I just purchased a duplex, and one of the HWH is in a separate room off the back of the building. The room is probably about 30-40 sq ft. There is a heater duct in the room, but nothing else.

The township inspector has requested that I install vents in either the wall or the door. I have a problem with this. This is a heated space, and opening it to the outside could cause problems, especially in the winter when pipes may freeze. the HWH was installed by the previous owner just 4 months ago and was inspected.

Any thoughts on what the requirements for combustion air are in a situation like this?

Give it back, minus the repair. Likely would have taken you 3 weeks to rent when his lease was up anyway.

Well, I think that you should let them stay...

...so someone has a worse tenant than one of my previous tenants!!
