I don't have answer but I am curious to the changes as well. Maybe with this little bump some one could point us to a thread already answering the question.

Some good advice here. I would add that you could partner with other investors, contractors, property managers etc.

Thanks, I was thinking along those lines. Do you know anyone locally that you would recommend?

1' of top soil can take care of some pretty nasty stuff. Is there a well? :)

It was disclosed by the Seller (The Bank) that the prior seller may have buried demolition materials in the backyard. No well but do need to put in a septic. Zoning allows up to 6 units on the property. The property is cheap enough but I am concerned with buried stuff if it turns out to be buried drums of waste oil could get expensive to clean up. Looks like previous owner ran a business with large trucks.

I am looking at a property that the previous owner pre foreclosure buried stuff in the backyard. Would you make the purchase contingent upon discovering the was buried? What kind of inspection or environmental testing should I have written in to my offer?

Love the pic @Pat L.

I had all intentions of going last night. Should have checked my email a little earlier than 6pm. I work Waltham so would have been a great place to wait out the storm. Instead I hung out at work until 8pm and waited for everyone to get off the road. See you at the next meeting.
