If you were buying property to hold and make residual income from, what questions would you have?

- Questions for your Realtor?

- Questions for the Seller?

- Questions for your CPA

- Questions for Appraisers?

etc etc

No she's not on BP. She's currently looking for a home as well and she keeps being out bidded. So she wants to find some developers or rehabbers to network with in order to have a chance to know what's going to be on the market ahead of time.

Hello.  I have a friend in Newark California looking to network with investors in her area (Newark, Hayward, Fremont, Union City, etc).  Does anyone know of any REIAs in the area?

How do I get a list of out of state home owners to contact?

What are other strategies to find motivated sellers in order to get deals at the cheapest price possible ? Besides bandit signs.

@Joe Villeneuve

Yes I was not talking about lowering my actual value, I meant my "assessed" value for tax purposes

@Danny Redding

Ok yes that's what I read as well.  To go to the tax office and file for an appeal.  I know there's nothing we can do with the tax rate, so that leaves the assessed value.  I heard that there's alot of homes that are over assessed and home owners have no idea and they just go ahead and pay it.  Do you have any idea how long the appeal process takes?
