@Fredrick Hock Is your state landlord friendly ? Can you evict is less than a month ? If so, the. Continue with contract. If you live in New York where it is tenant friendly, then I would not proceed with the contract.

Hi guys, we recently rented an Airbnb and had a horrible horrible horrible tenants that we had to evict. Airbnb canceled the reservation and I thought the nightmare was over but seven days later I got a violation from the city saying that the tenant reported strong sewer smell. The inspector at the city is not helpful at all. It’s been two weeks and I have been given the runaround as to what I need to do. He is asking me to pull permits for the work I did on the kitchen and asked me to get a plumber to inspect it. This will obviously cost me a lot of money. I’m still not sure as to what the inspector wants me to do exactly. My question is how can somebody turn in a false violation against me? Don’t they have to inspect the violation before they ask for unnecessary repairs and inspections?

So two and a half years ago I paid $5000 for brand new ducting and AC for a 1500 sq ft 3 bedroom home. Today I’m getting a 7000-9000 range for a one bedroom 500 sq ft duplex. How is that possible ?!?! I’m shocked. AC companies said the prices increased due to tariffs. What else have you seen an increase in ? Totally blew my numbers out of proportion !

@Dennis M. It’s a big deal because instead of the closing disclosure I’m suppose to get 3 days before closing, I get news that’s I’m not allowed on the title. They had the contract in place for 30 days and I’m just not being notified when I already spent 1k for the appraisal and inspection etc.
