Post: $20-50k for a mentor?

One of my favorite parts of the cash flow quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki is when he buys his first REI. He brings it to rich dad and informs him that he bought it but is having negative cash flow. He tells him never to buy stuff that loses you money.

If you think you make more than 50k in returns on this course then who am I to tell you not to buy it, but if you are not 100% sure you can make that return don't buy.  I have bought things such as this and they were all scams.  Bp has every possible topic covered.  Buying this mentorship would be similar to 5 dollars for a bottle of water when your friend will give you one for free.

Hey guys, I am in a bit of a dilemma. I love learning and growing my knowledge of REI through BP, but there are times I wish to have a face to face meet up with investors in my area. My town is so small that it is difficult to find someone in my area that I can talk with. I am not looking for the "mentor' like everyone is; I just would like to have someone to actively discuss REI. Any tips to finding "off the grind" investors in my area.

I had a very similar question recently...  I got on a call with a lender willing to share his time and knowledge to help me.  He told me the first thing to do is go ahead and start working to get your credit score up.  Get some credit cards from stores or anywhere you can easily pay it off.  Secondly, he told me to actively pursue financial education. If your credit score isn't great but a lender can tell you know your stuff he/she is more likely to play ball.  Those were my main two things to get done according to him. He went into more detail, but those were the main takeaways.

You should have no problems with that.  Call brokerage when ready to sell, and you will be set.

Those are great.  What inspired you to come up with the first one?

I believe quotes are a powerful tool.  They provide a boost of quick knowledge and motivation.  I would love to hear your favorites and why they are.

"Don't wait for the perfect opportunity: create it." -George Benard Shaw

I love this because it symbolizes the truth that nothing is going to be given it must be earned/taken. When I read it each day, I am naturally shifted into an action taking mindset.

When you get your first loan (especially as a young person) what would the lender initially need to see to determine if you are worth their time?  I am new to this and am a little intimidated about the whole process. I need a mix of confidence and helpful tips.
