Antoine Martel I would invest with you but you are on the whole other side of the country, I am in westchester county in New York and you are in westchester in California, how ironic. Also I'm just a freshman in high school so I don't have any funds to invest yet I'm saving up so when I'm 18 I can invest in real estate. Sorry for any confusion.

Matt Katsaris oh sorry when I said a couple years I meant 7+ years which I think is pretty reasonable to get the capital to invest locally. But anyways, I am planning to use those strategies to get more capital to invest near me. Thanks!

And by the way, I didn't start REI yet I am just looking for advice for when I start so I don't completely mess up and lose a ton of money.

Matt Katsaris I don't understand what you are getting at. Are you saying that I won't get enough capital to invest locally or are you saying it will be very hard doing buy and holds and flips so I won't make much money to invest locally? If so what are some other strategies that I should do because I was planning on doing those two strategies as well as brrrr. I don't understand what you meant in your post, can you please clarify, thanks!

My problem is more on the number one side with a little twists, it is just a temporary thing because I cannot afford it at the moment but if I start investing I can no doubt about it invest here in a couple of years, the problem is that I don't know what to do now to start my investments and make the money so I can invest here. I 1000% agree with your logic. @David Faulkner

Hi everyone, when I eventually get ready to invest in real estate I will not be able to start out where I live here in westchester county, New York or anywhere somewhat close (over an hour) to here because of the really high prices. I don't know wether I should go further upstate or even in New Jersey or Connecticut which would be a long drive, or invest out of state so I can get better cash flow for a lower initial purchase price, then eventually I can work my way to invest here(if that would even be worth it). Does anybody from this area or any area in general that is very expensive have any advice for somebody just starting out like me. Please help me out on what to do. Overall, would it even be worth it to invest here even when I have more money down the line? Should I invest out of state? Where should I invest? Thanks for any advice!

Hi everyone, when I graduate high school I am thinking of not going to college and becoming a real estate agent to have experience in the real estate field and save up money to do real estate investing rather than going In debt by going to college. There are pros and cons to both but what do you guys think would be best if you were in this situation, I am personally leaning towards becoming a real estate agent so I can get experience and also have access to MLS and many other helpful tools. Thanks for the help!

Joe Villeneuve I have a question about how geometry and algebra 2 would help in my real estate career, I could see how the other classes/skills you put would work, but I just don't understand how those 2 classes in specific would help. Please help me to understand how it would help in a real estate career. Thanks for the great advice!
