@Account Closed I agree with everything mentioned above. To add on to the conversation... I would test out sending letters as well and see how responses are with letters compared to postcards. They typically cost more than postcards but with a really niche list you may get a better response rate with letters.

@Scott W. Cook I like this tip. The method of starting with "short and sweet" and then providing more information on the next touch is smart. You give them a little taste of what you can do off the bat, and then really dive into how you can benefit them in the follow up message. I for sure think that 3 touches should be the absolute minimum. Thanks for providing some good content. Cheers!

@Mehvish Ahmed Postcards are a great outreach tool. I would keep a couple of things in mind. First thing is quantity, postcards tend to be a better option if you are mailing to higher quantities. They typically have a lower response rate but they also cost less so if you are looking to get in front of a lot of eyes for less money that is the way to go. If you have a smaller niche list then I would say sending letters is the way to go. They get a better response rate and they stand out more than postcards. I am happy to discuss more feel free to get in touch. Cheers!

@Austin Works Would you mind providing more details? How much direct mail are you sending monthly? Are you mailing the same list multiple times? If so how many times? Are you using any other form of marketing in addition to direct mail? Let me know on these points and I can give you some thoughts. Cheers!

@Trevor Ewen There are a number of outreach tactics to choose from. Each market is different so be sure to test out different methods and even layer your marketing. For example Send a direct mail letter, and follow that up with a call, followed up with another letter. That way you have multiple touch points and have a higher likelihood of getting through to your prospects.

Feel free to get in touch if you have more questions. Cheers!

@Justin Lee I would call more than once, but I would also layer other forms or marketing into the mix as well so that you don't overwhelm one channel. Start by cold calling followed up with a direct mail letter, and the call again (or something like that) that way you maintain consistency. People tend to respond differently when you reach out to them in different ways so staggering your marketing is a good way to keep things fresh and relevant to the prospect.

Cheers!
