That sounds almost too good to be true. Could be like a stock option play. Are there many different strategies that people emplow when it comes to the liens?

I recommend getting into the landlording game. It is a great way to bring in consistent income. If you can get a property cheap enough, the cash flow can be quite good. Looking at pre-foreclosures is a good start, but might not be the easiest way to start out.

I don't know too much about what you're asking, but it seems that having a license would be helpful only because you would have MLS access, and could then do your own searches without the help of another agent. I guess you'd also have a better understanding of Real estate transactions. I'm curious if it is helpful or not - I wonder if there are any restrictions that come with having the license?

Are there other ways (companies for example) that offer MLS service to non agents? It would be a great idea for someone - create a Free nationwide MLS service that is fully customizable and searchable for everyone to use.

Now there is a potential great business!

I had a friend in LA who was trying to buy a condo, but the realtors never returned his calls. He thinks it was greed - he was looking at lower end properties and it seemed like the realtors thought of him as a piker or something. He worked with 3 people until someone was actually professional. I'm sure this is not a once in a blue occurance. There are usually reasons why occupations get reputations. I'm well aware that there are amazing real estate agents out there, but there are a bunch of low lifes as well.

Personally, I've met a few agents who have all been nice to me, so I'm still in the middle somewhere.

I just saw the newest Star Wars and wondered what others thought about it. I thought the movie did a pretty good job of closing the series out, but I was really left wanting more. My favorite part was the physical transformation for Anakin to Vadar. Really cool. You guys like it? I'll give it an 8 of 10!

Are there any benefits of buying a building that is under Rent Control? It doesn't seem like there would be.

What happens if a property owner does not pay, when it comes to tax liens/certificates?
