Hi @Tony Roddenberry my husband and I bought property through tax sale on courthouse steps some years ago, waited redemption period of a year, built a house on it and sold with help of city's first time buyer program. Went really smooth. All you have to do is wait the time n it's yours, if owner doesn't pay back taxes you paid and interest to redeem. My son did the same thing few years ago for a house and is rehabbing it now. This is easy way to gain property and not pay much. Go for it n wish you the best!!

Thanks @Account Closed for giving quality advice n response to post BP members may put on here. I have read n read lots of the post and find that yours are pretty much sound advice that not only the person asking can use, but others that read. I know that is objective of the forums etc., but yours just always appear to be given in manner that anyone can receive. Constructively. Please continue to share your knowledge, expertise on BP.

Hi BP 

I just got a call from a property owner that wants to sell some land she has in Macon, Ga. However, I am not familiar with a formula for coming up with numbers to give her as the seller. As far as I understand from speaking with her, the lot has been cleared of an old house that use to be on it some years ago. If there is anyone here that can give me info on how to come up with an amount for presenting to her, can you let me know. I will have to do research in regard to the property (what's around, near it etc.)
