@Justin Fox Great idea, that would indeed be the easiest. You wouldn't even need to scrape the Excel file. You could save it as a CSV and upload it right into a database.

@Allen Bruns Do you mean the amount of equity a home that is listed has with it's current list price, or the amount of equity a home has in regards to it's current owner? For either I don't think an API exists for that. For the first you could do your own calculations and build out something using Zillows evaluations on a home via their API however as you know that's not always so accurate. I'd recommend starting a new forum post as not not take over the OPs question.

import.io if you are not interested in getting into any type of development or too techy. Can be very limited.

Webscraper.io great tool and doesn't require programing, just tech savyness and a willing to learn. Very flexable but yet has limitations as well.

Lastly using the Selenium library with a programing language like Java. VIrtually no limitations but requires programing knowledge and a lot of time.

If the first two don't work and you don't have programing experience hire someone off of upwork. But always be careful there and outline your requirements very clearly. Hire someone with a lot of good reviews.

The best way to find out is to put in $100 and see what type of results you get. Then you will have a much closer number for scale than any of us can give you.

1381 S. Brook St.

Bryan it's not a total rehab but there's decent work to be done. Roof within the next two years, foundation strengthened, all windows need repairing, a lot of cracks in plaster that are being dug out, etc.

My realtor used authentisign and it was a great experience. Whenever I got documents that weren't through that service I just opened it though a pdf viewer(forget which one) and esigned it instead of printing it out and signing. You can barely tell the difference.

I'd have no worry about it not holding up in court. Especially if you strictly use a service.

You can get a sold listing by an ID but you can't get all the sold listings in a zip code or city

I don't think Zillow provides aggregated data via API such as sold listings from a certain area.

Have you looked up the costs of implementing the several apis you'd be needing?

Just be careful that with everything you're adding it doesn't get too cluttered. It's usually better to add one awesome feature rather than several decent ones.

However sounds like an awesome app. Some of the features you mentioned like photo/GPS upload would be pretty cool.

I'd advise you to look up the competition and see how you can improve on what they're already doing. And always develop based on user feedback, which it seems like you plan on doing based on this post.

If you don't mind me asking where do you work? I'm a consultant doing development at Humana.
