In Miami, beach front properties are thriving (even condos, which everyone has been doom & gloom about for years...) I have several buyers, who had to face multiple offer situations to go under contract on the same. 

For anyone wondering why? Probably because there's still lots of money in the economy that's looking for safe home. So beachfront property is a nice way to park it whether a buyer wants to make a profit on rent or not.

Lastly, with remote work, lots of people are now pursing their dream of working from a beach - and, the properties are selling!
