New Member Post from LAX - Current Lender and Aspiring Investor

Hello BiggerPockets Community! Beyond excited posting here for the first time! I've been an avid listener to the BP Real Estate Podcast for nearly three years, even though I have yet to take advantage of all the other great tools the platform has to offer, including the forums. That is… until now!

A little about myself… born and raised in South Florida, I'm a former collegiate football player (Go Badgers!) turned real estate banker living in Santa Monica, CA. I’ve always had a love for and been surrounded by real estate - my mom is still a residential agent in Delray Beach, while my father was a handyman then project manager for a GC/construction management firm out of Miami focused on multi-million dollar SFHs.

I am currently a lender for a large investment bank, focusing primarily on conduit (CMBS) originations, but the recent curveball thrown at us thanks to the COVID lockdown has fueled my fire to transition to the investor/developer side of the business. I'm a huge fan of the BRRRR method, and my ultimate goal is to build a portfolio of long term hold SFHs and multi properties.

For far too long I’ve been on the sidelines watching while the BP community enjoys each other’s comradery. Like many others here, I love real estate and the incredible individuals it brings together. I look forward to using BP to continue growing my network in Los Angeles and South Florida, and find some accountability partners while we all go on our journeys together!

For those that have made it this far, I appreciate your time and can’t wait to get to know one another!
