Yes good ol Rick. 6 one way half a dozen another. TX, PA FL were ever. If Bush and a Kerry vote is the best we Americans can come up with we are all in trouble....... What most people do need to understand that a local either township, county, or state can do more for you than Federal. It's just important you know who stands for what and who is even running. Gotta love those people that enter the cubical and just pick REP or DEM and not know what they stand for.

Were is Ross Perot. I loved those charts.

I thought Arnold Rep. Governor CA works for free as well.

How do you think Hillary would do without being a Clinton, take away what fame she has had?

Ron Paul does turn my head.

Heck just look at the attention Stephen Colbert gets.

As an Independent I would like to see some kind of balance in the house, congress and the president. Personally I would like to see a former Governor, or mayor as the President. I don't really know what a senator does besides make bills?

To say who you are voting for now is about laughable. only a year to go. Look at Howard dean. Man just went crazy.....

Buy a house at wholesale. Fix it up some to the point you can live in it. Move in fix up the rest of the house and do a FSBO when your ready to sell again. Repeat this process. With a construction back ground you can have a better understanding of repairs. Even rentals need remodeled. Rentals can be risky just like remodeling a house if you don't do your homework. Not sure what type of work you do. I travel the US and have a PM taking care of my properties. I usually work 3 months, off 3 months, on 3, off 3. Makes it hard to locate properties when your on the road. If nothing more I would put that money in a money market. I think some are getting 5.5%

Personally my goal is to pay off my house. I am currently house less. Things look good for buying the next one with cash which is my goal. Taken that monthly mortgage payment and putting it into an investment fund will be nice for a change.

Good job saving not many people have that mentality.

Yeah not sure exactly what is going on with that guy and the lenders, but it's not good for the rest of us. It only takes a few bad apples to hurt everyone. I am sure we will be seeing more articles like this in the next 3 years as property taxes, insurance, utility cost, and interests rates grow.

Just wanted to throw a heads up to anyone dealing in the Pittsburgh area. Here are some articles about a guy doing shady business. Judging by his past guilty plea it doesn't look to good for him. Seems like he has gone to one to many boot camps or maybe not enough.

I have a feeling we will see more of these articles, and Yes a big crack down on lease options.

Contractortalk.com is a helpful site, I warn you if you ask questions they will most likely not respond so kindly. The guys on there are in business to make money not to help you out. I thought there was a Do It Yourself forum on that site. Hope it helps some.

Ok, here is a vent.
I HATE RENTING! As a college student (about to graduate) I hate writing that check every month toward rent that I am never going to see materialize into anything!

I get on these forums and everyone is making great money doing real estate and I'm missing out on this opportunity! ARG! :protest:

I guess it will turn around pretty soon though, I graduate soon and can get in the game.

Just wait till you pay $10k a year in interest to own your home. Oh but there is that big tax break... I never did find mine oh well I guess I need to buy more expensive house.

Then in 5 years you finally pay enough on principle to equal what you paid for closing cost :D
