There's no particular place to vent on here is there?

On my hoped for short sale...
Put my offer on weeks ago. Have remained in contact with my agent, ansed her if there was a forclosure date, she said no, it would be awhile.
It began to appear that she didn't know much about short sales...
We did get a preliminary title search last week listing the people we thought it belonged to, with the mortgage, and no other liens...no notice of foreclosure.

I saw the property on RealtyTrac, and went to look--no foreclosure notice. Called my agent today and told her it was on RealtyTrac. She said she'd call the agent. She called me back immediately--I hardly had time to step out of the room--and said it was in preforeclosure. That 3 other people had put bids in, and we should expect a counter offer soon. So we were getting a contractor to go over to get repair estimates. She'd call me. Heck, I don't know how she could dial the phone to the other agent, get an answer, talk to get the info, hang up, and call me in the time she took. Actually, that's the second time there's been that kind of response from her--how can she have gotten the info that fast?

So, got off the phone, reread the blurb, and the house was to go to auction the week after I put my offer on it. Called her back, she said, gee, maybe they held it out of the auction for a short sale...

We had looked at it again after the auction date, and the agent lock box was still on it. I think it still is...

I'm trying to be philosophical about this, but gee, I wanted that house.

And Plan B is...
