Hi, I liked all of Robert Kiyosaki 's books - I even have a few of the same books as Audio Books. Another book is the Millionaire Mind & the Millionaire Next Door. Finally, any book by Jack Miller ,and finally  learn from Gary Johnston events incl his events and esp. Money Not Math DVD ( Learn Financial Calculator - HP 10bII) . I like to buy 2nd hand books.

Good Luck

My 2 Cents,

I would take up your friends offer for the Mortgage Broker job, It'd be a great education for understanding RE Financing. In the mean time, I would pursue a Real estate license & possibly a NML License too.

If you decide to follow a RE career, consider working on a RE Team - Someone who could mentor you.If you need immediate income immediately after getting your RE License, you might consider Property Mgmt, Or if no need for immediate income for 6-12 months,  consider a career in Commercial RE .

Good Luck

Hi, I attended here in LA area a seminar by Paul Horn JD & he provides a 4 hour seminar for Realtors.  I would call local Probate Attorneys in your area re. Probate Classes / Seminar events for

Real estate Professionals & Non Professionals.

Good Luck

Hi, I'd encourage you to learn / brush up on Financial Calculator  10bII Or similar. I keep one on my phone plus I have a physical one. I'd suggest you attend Or buy a course. My wife and I attended Gary Johnston , Money not Math plus we purchased this course as a DVD. I also attended Bill Tan's Financial Calculator class. CCIM has a class or two .

Good Luck.

M2C , Is stay away from Bankster Gangsters! Use a local Community Bank Or Credit Union. My wife & I prefer CU & it took a while to find one that did Business Accounts.

Also, PenFed is good, joined after listening to a Clark Howard Podcast. I'm not military, so I had to join ? Military Family Non Profit which enabled me to hook up w/ them.

Good Luck.

Food for Thought- Gordon Moss spoke at Paper Source Symposium last week from a 20/20 hind sight , the paraphrase comment was - Instead of taking so many hair cuts on commissions , I should have taken a percentage of the equity / property when asked to take a haircut.

Gordon is a great speaker & he's speaking soon re Notes at Dana Point.
