Thanks for the post and tying it to a court case. I have been hearing this question more and more lately

Hi @Jillian Bibbins

Congrats on the purchase, and sorry it has been a doosey. On the forum there is 20+ professionals who are willing to help. One question to consider is if you are willing to work remotely with a CPA or prefer to meet in person. If you are comfortable to working remotely then this is the forum for you.

Out of curiosity, what issues have you had with this property and what are you hoping to find help with from your CPA?

I love that in the response he just admits to everything. Yes we were a part of a crypto scam before, yes we had no clear plan for this crypto exchange, and yes we used the money to renovate our house.....but God said it's going to be ok. His lawyer must be pissed. Maybe he offered to pay his lawyer 10,000 of his own crypto coins?

@Andrew Kensmoe

I'm also in the area and have been hoping to join a solid REI group. If you are interested we can join forces to try and get some meet ups going

Also @Julio Gonzalez is working in Florida and could be a great resource if you are looking for someone to meet in person. I'm sure he is also very familiar with the Florida scene and could make sure you were taken care of

Hi @Jun Lopez

Is there specific reason you are looking for one in the area or would you be open to working remotely. If you are open to working remotely then there are 20+ professionals on the site who would be able to help me. @Basit Siddiqi  even invests in the Jacksonville area himself, or so I believe.

if you have a specific question you are always welcome to post it here and see who has the best advice on or search the forum for who is answering similar questions

Post: Does cold plunging enhance real estate investing?

@Alexander King

I came across cold plunges when I read a book called "What doesn't kill us" by Scott Carney. I thought he did a good job talking about Wim Hof and some of the theories behind it. Personally I love cold plunges and would hike up to glaciers to jump in. I think cold plunges can be very healthy and beneficial but probably aren't a substitute for a proper real estate education.

If you feel like its having a positive effect and enjoy it, keep doing it and let us know the results.

Thank you! Really appreciate the detailed answer. For a small investor, what would you say is a reasonable fee for tax prep?
in your original post, you mentioned "...and planning tax strategy..." - which is completely different from tax preparation and costs a lot more.

This post should be helpful: https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/51/topics/998718-explai...

 I wonder if it is possible to have this article pinned to the top of the tax forum
