@Chad Carson @Jami Kloet

I unfortunately can't offer an exact date since Audible's processing time is highly variable. However, I can say with confidence that it shouldn't be too much longer! We are also eager to get the audiobook out there.

In the near future, you might be interested in... this one. It's on its way!

If your wife is more right-brain, I can definitely relate. I've noticed that I do better with more general personal finance/business books than with nitty-gritty real estate books. You might have her check out Set for Life (which is personal finance, though real estate-based), Retire Early with Real Estate, or Rich Dad, Poor Dad (like everyone is suggesting). They all talk a lot about the "why" behind investing, and that could help get her excited!

@Jesse Weiland @Colten Thiel and @David Sussman... I've yet to find an "official" list, but I did stumble across this list on Goodreads the other day. I'm not sure how updated it is, but it does have 100+ of the recommended books on it!

@Ray Rhoads Hooray! I hope you enjoy the Managing book. It looks like you're filling up your personal library, which is always a great place to start!

There are always great book suggestions on the BiggerPockets Money Podcast, which I personally enjoy listening to! Great financial advice as well. I haven't yet listened to the BiggerPockets Real Estate Podcast, but I hear great things about it. Although obviously the great things I hear are from biased sources... but definitely worth a shot! Podcasts are great for the good ol' daily commute, and there are a ton of them available for free on iTunes.

Hey @Ray Rhoads! If you feel a little wobbly about managing rentals, you should check out "The Book on Managing Rental Properties," also by @Brandon Turner. It covers managing, contracts, and laws, all in one place!

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Hey @Alex Kreissle! You might want to check out "Raising Private Capital" by @Matt Faircloth if you're interested in private capital at all.

I also agree with @Nathan Gesner's advice on "No (And Low) Money Down." It's a great place to start thinking about creative financing for real estate.

And, side note, "The Book on Flipping Houses" and "The Book on Estimating Rehab Costs" by @J Scott are currently in the revision process, which sound right up your alley! The first editions are available now, and the new editions will be out in January.

Hope this helps! Good luck on your flipping endeavors.

@Nathan G. That new book would be How to Invest in Real Estate by Joshua Dorkin and Brandon Turner. It's actually based on the Ultimate Beginner's Guide, but expanded and updated to fit the form of a full book. It comes out tomorrow, 10/18, so it's brand new!

Also, Brandon Turner's The Book On Rental Property Investing is one of our biggest sellers because it's so detailed and gives a great step-by-step overview of rental properties. I would recommend starting with How to Invest as a general overview, then diving into Rental Property Investing for more detail.

Both can be found at biggerpockets.com/store. Best of luck to you, @Daniel Leyva!

Amy, the book launches on October 18. Note that if you pre-ordered a physical copy, shipping will take 7-10 days.

Mindy Jensen how can I get a copy. I want to invest but don't have a clue where to start. I've been told a number of different things and its confusing.

Rodrick, this book is a great place to start! It's written especially with new investors in mind, though it's great for more advanced investors, too. You can find more information and pre-order a copy at biggerpockets.com/howtoinvestbook .

is this different than the online version?

Aaron, do you mean the ebook? There are multiple package options at biggerpockets.com/store . Unless you're talking about Amazon, in which case, the book won't be available on Amazon for a while longer and you won't get any of the bonus content!
