Hey Jason, I cannot think of much else as far as messaging and colleague requests go. The primary issue I see is people who send everyone a colleague request when they are not local, and they do not leave any kind of a message. In that case, I do not see a purpose in accepting the colleague request. However, when someone leaves a message, whether it is short and simple like:

Hey James, saw you on the forums and thought we had some similar real estate goals, so I thought I would send you a colleague request.

To some longer messages where people ask questions or comment on previous forum posts...I will always accept. Good luck!

I would say they are pretty good if they would have sold it before the police raid!

This thread helped convince me to go ahead and get the rower. I'll post a review after I have had a chance to get a few workouts in.

I would need that competition to go full blast, otherwise I would just phone it in.

Haha, not sure but I hope so! Ill let you know if I decide to do it and I will not let you down with my trash talking (the same likely won't be true of my rowing).

I don't use my iPad nearly as much as I thought I would. When I want a computer I usually get on my laptop and for anything else I use my iPhone 5...but please post a review when you get it.

Does anyone have expieence with rowers (specifically the Concept II)?

I had a rowing machine years ago. I bought it because I thought it would be a fun way to exercise. I figured I could watch TV while I row. After about a week, the novelty wore off and it gathered dust like my treadmill.

I've found that the only way I will exercise is if someone is barking orders at me. Otherwise, I get lazy. Since I started training in Krav Maga two years ago, I'm in the best shape of my life. The workouts are brutal, but very rewarding. The last test I took was 3.5 hours long. I weighed myself before the test at 176 and 3.5 hours later, I was 172. I was at 198 a few years ago and had to watch what I eat to stay there. Now I eat anything I want and have trouble gaining a pound. It's great.

Thanks for the feedback. I am highly competitive and I have been looking at RowPro which allows your to race others online...I figured that ought to get my *** rowing hard. I have some expierence boxing and would love to get into some type of martial arts, but I would really like something that doesn't tie me too much to a schedule, something I can do from home when I have a free hour. Krav Maga is intense though, looks like a lot of fun!

Welcoem to BiggerPockets Amanda. The link Jon posted is a great one. After that, I would check out the podcasts if you havent yet, you will hear about how a lot of different people got started, which will help you start to forumulate your own way forward. Good luck and if you cannot find the answers you are looking for, ask away!

Welcome to BP. Congrats on the duplex purchase! The strategy of purchasing a duplex and occupying one side is often considered one of the best ways to get started in REI. I would take some time to learn as much as you can, and start forumulating a plan to move forward in the near future. While you are doing that, stash as much cash as possible. Maybe even consider getting your real estate sales license so you can access the MLS (you will get the money back in saved commissions). Good luck to you.
