I would say I think it depends on the price point of your house. 350k and less, I think is still moving, over 350k is seeing more DOM. I wouldn't suggest, personally, putting a house on the market in the down time. I would ready it, and put it on around spring break time. that is when the market starts to pick up and holds through the summer. At least that has been my experience.

@Atta Shay Shoot me some numbers on how you think this would work well for me. I am new and learning, but like the area for future growth. I know a lot of others that played the other side of the highway in garden oaks and did well.

@James Lusk thanks for the response and tip. I have set up a few alerts already and will do more once I figure things out better. Thank you.

Hey, my name is Justin and I am a new member here. I have been listening to the podcasts and lerking on the site for a while and wanted to jump in and introduce myself.

I am upper 30s and looking at this for additional income and possibly a career change. I am finishing up getting my RE license, and want to start working some transactions. After getting a few deals under my belt and studying the market some, I want to pick up a few buy and holds. I am a numbers guy and an analyst. I also have a background in construction.

I hope to learn investing and RE strategies from all of you and maybe I can assist some of you along the way.

-Justin
