As far as all-in-one options go, HP has a lot of good ones. I have heard many friends with them speak about how great they are. Also, doesn't Kodak have one out that is supposed to cut down on the cost of the refill ink? I think it costs more to purchase but the ink is worth it if you use ink often.

I keep hearing about how it has a real web browser on it, not one of the 'mini mobile' browsers that only work on sites designed specifically for phones. This opens up more possibilities for using online resources.

Sounds like the start to a horror movie.... some guy is tormented by ghosts so he sells the property way below fair value. An unsuspecting REI comes in and buys it, only to realize they have unleashed a deamon. LOL

Hi everyone. I was just curious how you gained experience doing home repairs and upgrades yourself. I would hate to screw something up and have to bring in a professional after I already spent all the time/energy.

Although I've often gotten HUGE discounts on a house because an owner was either convinced that a roof was a much bigger deal than it actually is, and/or they didn't have the funds to tackle the job.

Bad housing and roof pretty much means that potential buyers won't get out of their cars because the curb appeal is so bad! Yum Oh!

all cash

I never thought about it that way, but I suppose the average home buy isn't too interested in that type of thing.

Sounds reasonable. I have seen plenty of multi-family homes stay on the market for a long time without selling, partially because they are not entirely for sale, but parts of them.

For example, am I going to be charged for each property I look at? If I make an offer on a property and it doesn't pan out, am I out anything for the agents time (important if I'm going to lowball offer people) ?

Hi all,
Just out of curiosity, I had a few beginner questions. I currently rent and am wanting to purchase my first property soon. I was curious about the costs of having a real estate agent. How are they traditionally paid?
