@James Stokes Its great to see a success story and really motivates me! I'm a newbie located up in northern New Jersey and properties are pretty expensive in the decent areas. I've been on bigger pockets and doing plenty of research but I'm still saving up so I can make my first REI purchase.

@Adam Anderson I plan on investing in the North Jersey area. Passaic, Bergen county, Edgewater, Fort Lee areas. 1) these areas are close to me. and 2) they are fairly desirable areas. The key will be to find the right deals of course.

Hey guys, figured I'd take a moment to introduce myself here. I stumbled upon this website recently while trying to do a little research on real estate investing. I'm mostly interested in flips and rentals but I am still exploring other facets. I'm 25 and work in the architecture/engineering industry. My goal is to gain the knowledge and confidence needed to really get started and on the right path. I look forward to learning and hearing about other people's experiences.
