You could apply for a grant, use credit financing, or an angel investor? Just speed-balling some ideas!

One of my mates runs a dive shop in PNG, and he seems to feel it doesn't affect his investment strategies too much overall. He has to pay over the local income tax bracket to America's corresponding Income tax bracket. It seems relatively simple once you get the system worked out. Find an international Accountant who can give you some proper advice.

I remember visiting Vancouver and learning about the average home price, and many of the residents were certain it was due to Chinese investment. Chinese buyers were coming in and buying at asking price, developing the area. This is a very real issue in Urban areas, but it's also means your area becomes more diverse, more colorful, which is of course a great thing!

Forbes has listed a few to watch in the new year, seems there really is a startup for everything these days. https://www.forbes.com/sites/navathwal/2017/03/31/...

I would say the innovations outside of the internet are more exciting however: https://fundrise.com/education/blog-posts/the-top-...

Money and time management skills are transferable to any industry really, and both are critical to real estate investment. Also, the ability to fail and move on is a boon, something tech startup founder all seem to have experience with!

General buying power has plummeted, wage increases haven't kept up with inflation. Overall, those who had the opportunity to invest in the 70's are in a great position now. The market as it is today is staggeringly difficult for the young couple. A single income earner in civil service could afford a 3 bedroom home buy in the 70s. The market is very hard now.

Well, your credit score takes a dive, and getting a loan is virtually impossible. I have a friend who declared bankruptcy in another country, and seems to face little to no consequences back in the US. Maybe she should relocate post bankruptcy?

I believe the market is primarily dominated by the large hotel development firms such as Marriott, Hilton, and Holiday Inn. If you have a lot in mind, maybe you can submit a proposal to the development firm? Anyone else on BP willing to weigh in on this?

Crypto-currencies seem to be the hottest growth item on the shelf these days, that said, they can depreciate wildly and quickly on a bad day. You may want to try and go ahead with a low yield flip to get a sale under your belt, develop a taste for it first.

Hi @Zack Bloom, I am no expert, but this list looks like a great place to start digging - https://passiveincomemd.com/best-real-estate-crowdfunding-sites/
