I would try, if possible, to avoid giving away equity at all costs. Worse case scenario, and speaking in generalities only, you could eventually get pushed out of your own investment, losing seed capital and all.

@Barbra Thebenyane Have you found anything else about Seed for Capital?

I would steer clear. Report this to the police as soon as you can. You never know what assets could be seized in the process of investigation. Sounds like an easy way to lose your seed capital and your reputation to boot.

I like the buzz words, particularly seed capital!

@Account Closed, are you trying to avoid getting a loan from the bank? Or are you having difficulty acquiring a conventional loan for your seed capital?

Look into international REI. Land is cheaper, labour is cheaper. You will find yourself owning and operating a full scale ag operation at much lower seed capital requirements.

Reduce living expenses, particularly vehicle and smoking/drinking. Massive change to the budget with these considerations held. Your seed capital will flourish.

Thank you @Account Closed, what knowledge do you have concerning Credit unions in this matter? Are they good for seed capital loans?

I do mobile homes. Scaling a mobile home park is constant and unrelenting. I think the downtime between expansion builds is a huge seed capital burden. Nothing gets done with idle hands.

A mix of all of them really is the best policy. I work mainly with lower income demographics, so I utilize Facebook most of all. Consider your demographic, pick the social network that will have the biggest impact, and rock that network. Don't neglect the other social networks, have an account and keep it relatively up to date, but don't lose your head trying to keep up with all of them, there is just too much to do.
