Yep, permit & materials, a couple hundred bucks. And yes there are other costs. Around here you can get a complete remodel of a bathroom for $12,000 and that's from a contractor.

I had one respond on marketplace once. He said "nobody is going to pay that much with no bathroom". I said look at the pictures. He writes back "oh, I didn't see that". 

$10,000/$100 per hour comes out to 100 hours or 2 1/2 weeks. Working in between floors will add to the cost. Even if they have to deal with iron pipe 2 1/2 weeks is ridiculous. If they have to go thru a rock wall add a day. Shop around.

If it's on a public street with expired tags just let the police know and they will tow it.

It depends on how much work needs to be done, how much money are you willing to spend and how soon do you want it done. If you want it done soon it's not cheap. Sometimes it cost too much to get the rent coming in SOON. But know is the time to do it right the first time so you will have years with very low maintenance.
