@Will Barnard

I totally agree. I also ready in the works for my first property that will make great returns. I was just curious how outside people view California and the diversity that the current investors here have been implementing. I have seen many make lots of money here and it’s all about the right purchase. Thank you for the input.

@Anthony Gayden

Very true. It’s definitely a hard market to get into. Different the early 90’s when my father in-law got in.

@Bill Brandt

Good points. Very true. I have a friend who just moved to Phoenix and we have discussed beginning our investments there. It’s a interesting concept to buy rental properties where you don’t live or in the area. But I have been educating myself through people, books and YouTube to help better prepare myself. Though we are ready today if the right property comes along.

I live in California and have seen many close family and friends kill it in the rental market here. Why is most of the US against rental market in California and should I invest elsewhere?

@Jon Hill

Hi Jon,

This is my first post on bigger pockets though I’ve been watching their pod casts for over a year.

My goals for 2020 are:

Connect with new people in my area and how they are investing.

Purchase my first investment property...currently in the works.

Start an LLC and make a plan for my future of increase passive income by $1000 every two years.
