Many use that slogan, as well as franchisees of HomeVestors, apparently, for a years sign. In this situation it looks as though someone googled and found it on a HomeVestors yard sign and used this as the picture. Which is false as HomeVestors is not involved with that copyright. Look at webuyhouses.com and webuyuglyhouses.com and you will see 2 entirely different companies.

Hi Guys, Im a HomeVestors guy in a few markets in the Midwest and @Jeff B. by no means are we Trump University.  This isn't a guru operation but a franchised business that provides a system and support to become a full time Real Estate Investor, or allows already full time investors ability to be associated with a national brand of around 800 and all the advertising benefits that come with it.

There are 3 areas I would say are highly worth the cost: Motivated Seller Leads, 100% funding for purchase and repair, on-going training/coaching and support for a true team environment.

Reality is this business Isnt for everyone as there are costs associated and certainly isnt "get rich quick", or are we going to upsell or make guarantees.  If you come up with a better way thats cheaper, let me know and ill do that!  I don't think anyone likes paying franchise costs, but saw a HomeVestors ad on American Pickers last night, so thats the value.

A lot goes into this business and certainly HomeVestors so feel free to reach out with specific questions and Im glad to help you figure out if its a fit for you or not.  Happy to help where I can.

Hey @Jesse Cabot a lot of what your questions would be depend on your business model and what you would like to do in RE investing.  Theres so many facets to this business that I think best to see what that investor is doing that is working for them and evaluate if thats something that will work for your personality and business model.

Simply ask them what is it they do and how have they been successful, or what have they learned from an experience that has gone wrong.  I don't have a problem with people interviewing me, were ultimately both just trying to figure out what info the other has and how can a relationship be beneficial for both.  I'd think questioning should go both ways.

For me what I'm looking for is to fill a void in some way, and maybe the person in front of me has a better grasp on something that I don't.  Whether your new to this industry or a veteran investor, we all all evaluate and see opportunities differently.

Don't.....wait until it makes sense.. You buy at the top and lose in the near future. Not worth it.

Lot of questions I'd have concerning using a HELOC for investment. RE Investment is an advanced speculative investment strategy, are you comfortable using the equity in your home? I do find a HELOC appropriate for my business, but generally as a way to fund purchase of a property that I know I'm going to refinance for rental, or turn quickly.
