My family has a Time Share coming up in 2016 in Orlando, FL, five miles from everything Disney. We would like to offer it for rent this year. Does anyone have any advice on how and where to market this offer. I have tried Craigslists and posting the ad in several markets. This is very time consuming and not to mention my ads keep getting flagged and deleted.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

You would do well to find people here on BP in the areas @Michael Seeker mentioned and ask them, especially in St. Louis area, If they meet the 1% rule.  A lot of areas in St. Louis meet the 2% rule!   I've also heard that Milwaukee hits the 2%.

First, Determine how much cash flow you can live with, then just use the "Rental Property Calculator" under TOOLS above.

That's what I use to analyze rentals.

I drive for dollars and when I find a place I'm interested in, I know how to find the owners name and address.  When I try looking for their phone numbers it's like running into a brick wall.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get the phone numbers?  I have tried searching their name and location through google to no luck.  Also, what do you think about the idea of just knocking on their personal residence or leaving one of those door knob hangers letting them know I'm interested in their property?

Thanks for reading.

It seems like very little amount of security deposit to make any difference in his taxes, and he might just not have the security deposits to transfer.  I'm not sure of any legal issue with this way, but IMO I would want the security deposits transferred to me.
