Hi Adam!

Your post intrigued me because of your honesty and transparency and because I'd love to have the money you have to give to the causes that are dear to me.

I think we all need a purpose outside of ourselves; personally, I feel that God created us that way! Money for money's sake isn't satisfying but as others have said, using it to help others can be very satisfying. My Christian faith has given my life a purpose outside of myself which has lead to a more meaningful life. I highly recommend looking to Jesus for your life's meaning and purpose.

I also suggest that you reflect on what you are passionate about and make it your mission to help in some way! Be careful that your helping is not hurting. Great book on this is called When Helping Hurts.

I love the work that Samaritan's Purse does in the US and around the world so I volunteer year round with their ministry supporting their Operation Christmas Child outreach. Of course, I'd love to see you use some of your wealth for this ministry but you must decide what is best for you.

All my best!

I would like to see the rest of your list. Thank you for putting this together!

Here is a link to our first rehab http://www.movoto.com/greensboro-nc/2720-evergreen...

It has just been listed on the mls for $114,500. We have begun our second rehab and we are currently looking at another promising property. We have two private money lenders and are seeking one more.

My company, GW Property Solutions, LLC is currently seeking a private money loan of $50,000 for a rehab we are doing on a SFR in Greensboro, NC. This is a 3/1.5 ranch with garage built in the 1950's. This house is in a great location and has lots of potential. Send me a note and I will provide you with any info you need. Check out our website at http://www.gwpropertysolutions.com for more information about us and our work.

Thanks!

We are in the process of tearing out to rehab a home and have decided that opening up the wall between the kitchen and living room would be nice. We need a structural engineer and someone to help us with the design layout of the new kitchen, laundry room, half-bath,and living space and the layout of the Master bedroom and master bath.we are in Greensboro North Carolina so we would like someone local.with an architect be the best person for the interior changes?if you have any recommendations or advice please let me know. Thank you very much! Gina

Thought I'd update you on where I stand at the moment.

My partner and I are almost finished with our first rehab. Maybe two more weeks before it goes on the market. It has taken longer to rehab than we originally thought but we are still on target to make $20,000 on this flip (depending on how long it takes to sell). Part of me wants to keep it for a rental but my partner says that we need to sell it to make the money to put aside. Last week we signed a contract on a second house and we will close on that one June 11. We negotiated this one ourselves and are thrilled with the deal that we got on it. We also have a private money lender on this deal.

The most frustrating thing about rehabbing has been the workers not showing up to work and not communicating. I guess that takes time. It is definitely a learning process but we do love it!

Post: What does a good private loan look like?

I will be talking with a potential investor about a private money loan and wondered what I should ask for in regard to the terms. I would like to pay them their interest after the home sells. What interest rate would be fair? Thanks for your help!
