@Marcus Irons - I was going to ask this same question, but I found your post. Looks like you've received some great responses back. Thanks and good luck with your flip. I'm hoping to pull the trigger on a flip soon!

@Brandon Turner I appreciate the welcome! I'm so glad I found this site and I actually did do a podcast marathon on my drive from CA to ND. I also bought J Scott's book on Black Friday so thanks for that wonderful deal! Keep doing what you're doing because this has been a tremendous resource for rookies like me. I hope I can be a guest on your podcast one day. Cheers!!

@Al Williamson if I was still in the area I would definitely go. I enjoyed listening to your BP Podcast 008 with your vision on being a landlord during my drive from CA to ND when I had a podcast marathon. Hopefully, my friend @Shanon Oge will be able to go!

@Steven J. Hahaha! You're not lying about my car not starting. It's struggling to start in the morning...I think it misses CA like me! I am looking forward to the meetup soon. I recently bought J Scott's book on Flipping Houses and was wondering if flipping is good in this area. I see your number and will definitely contact you. Looking forward to meeting you and everyone else!

@Elizabeth Colegrove  - Thank you! I am settling here in Fargo now and have been passively looking for some RE deals. Needless to say it is A LOT cheaper here than CA...not to mention A LOT colder (it's currently -6 degrees outside as I'm typing!). I'm hoping to purchase a property before summer next year. I subscribed to your website and am looking forward to learning more from it along with the BiggerPockets community.  = )

Very nice rehab! Good luck on the sale, but I don't think you'll need it with how awesome the house looks.

@Stephanie Dupuis Thank you for the attorney website. I'll be utilizing that site for sure in the future.

I know fees vary, but I'd like to see some people share how much did they pay their attorney for contracts and legal advice.

It's funny because I was just thinking about starting a topic like this because I watched quite a few episodes of "A Haunting" this past weekend. I've never seen or dealt with any paranormal activities, but I'm a believer because I've heard stories from friends and co-workers. I think that will be one of the things that will "scare" me when dealing with older properties…not knowing the home's history besides when and how much it sold for. I guess you can just Google the address and see what pops up.

@James Wise - that story your instructor told ya'll is insane!
