Agents,

I've been researching new areas to target here in Brooklyn. I'm running through the MLS expired listings and I see some pretty good prospects. My problem is getting an actual contact number for these homeowners. I don't know how most homeowners would react if I just showed up on their doorstep. Most websites require a monthly fee to get phone numbers for people, which I'm okay with. However I'm curious to know which websites my fellow agents suggests.

Thanks

Dan

Hello,

So I Recently took the New York State exam to become a real estate salesperson. In the interim I have been diligently researching wholesaling properties. I understand the concept and realize that there is plenty of money to be made. Wholesaling obviously would be my personal business running under my LLC.

Recently I found a realtor to sponsor me. I see this is as a great oppotunity, because it allows me to get access to MLS listings, FSBO properties and would also give me the experience and hands-on with the industry.

My main goal is to start with a realtor, obtain as much knowledge as possible while applying it to my personal business. Consistent Wholesaling would then be my next step. And finally, years down the line i would like to place myself into an investor role. I know this may seem like the typical American Real Estate dream, but my question/concern is: would working with a realtor initially benefit my long term goal? I see it only as opportunity, however I would like to hear the opinions of others on this strategy.

Thank you

i will be attending +1. Please let me know if you require the name of my guest.

Eric,

That's correct. I was referring to an LLC. I have not taken any steps into marketing and advertising, I'm still in the preliminary stages. However, maybe we could chat some time, I could use some advice, especially being that you're nearby.

Thanks

Dev,

Thanks for the tips. I actually passed the state exam to become a RE sales person. Are you suggesting that I begin to utilize that? I see it as a great credential. I appreciate your response.

Thanks.

Hello all,

I am still in the process of doing tons of research. However, one of the topics that i am a bit unclear of is, should I be licensed to wholesale?

Even though I'm sure i can wing it without one. I'm assuming that it would be more professional and secure if i obtained one.

Please give me your thoughts and concerns on this.

Thanks

Dan
