July 15, 2014 NYC Meetup in Manhattan with BP author & Legend J Scott!

Hello again fellow BiggerPockets members! I am pleased to announce that we have a very special guest attending our NYC Meetup in Manhattan this July 15, 2014: BP Legend @J Scott .

J Scott has been referred to as the "Wilt Chamberlain" of BiggerPockets and his contributions to the BiggerPockets community certainly make that comparison valid. In 2008 both J and his wife Carol left Silicon Valley and moved to Atlanta to start a house flipping business after watching too many HGTV shows. Since then the Scotts have flipped more than 60 homes AND consulted on more than 100! J's mastery of the business led to him pen two books for BiggerPockets, both of which have been top sellers on Amazon: The Book on Flipping Houses and The Book on Estimating Rehab Costs. J has documented his flips on his website www.123flip.com and now he's sharing with the community he and his wife Carol's building of their dream home on www.thescottpad.com. With more than 12,000 posts and close to 9,000 positive votes, J has one of the highest overall vote to post ratios of any member of BiggerPockets.

J will be speaking to the group with a presentation entitled "Big Tips for Big Flips: How To Make Your Next Large Renovation or Construction Project More Profitable" This sounds like an incredible presentation that you don't want to miss.

We'll be back at Pranna Restaurant on July 15th this time on the LOWER LEVEL. Pranna is located at 79 Madison Ave (at 28th Street) in Manhattan. Just as before we'll start at 6:30 and go to at least 10pm. The Meetup is free for all members of BiggerPockets. There is no dress code. Come as you feel most comfortable to network. Again around 9pm we should have a very special announcement about our next meeting in August. Hors D'ouvres and our meeting space is being graciously provided again by a select few. Expect to hear a few words from our sponsor(s).
