Post: Getting Mortgage Under My LLC

So i recently started my own LLC that I plan taking mortgages on my rentals with. I understand that the mortgages will still be under me ultimately but how do I go about applying for one under the name of my company? Is it the same as applying for one as if I were getting one for my primary residence? Additionally do I have to do the mortgage as an investment property if I were to purchase through my LLC? That question is aimed at trying to avoid putting down as much money as I can. The lenders I have looked at so far require a 20% down payment on investment properties.

Hello BiggerPockets, I want to get started investing in Buffalo, NY and I want to know if anybody on here works in the area and is willing to chat with me so I can get some insight on the conditions of the market in Buffalo. Buffalo is my hometown and I'm hoping to get in the area and help improve some of the more rundown areas. I will be arriving in the area towards the end I the month and would love to speak with any investors that currently have a deal in their sights and would like to partner or any realtors that have a lot to offer to a new investor. I'm looking to buy some rental property near the downtown area but for the right deal I would consider investing in different areas. I have a little experience shopping around but only in the San Diego area so I'm not a complete newbie, just haven't found my first deal yet in this extremely hot market. I look forward to talking with you guys. Thanks in advance,
 Donnell
Thanks for asking the initial question. It was one of those questions that you don't even know you have until reading a post. There is some very valuable information here.
Hello BP, I am a new investor currently looking for my first deal in the San Diego area. I'm currently getting experience working with a local wholesaler and doing some cold calling. I have two main goals for this year which are to flip at least two homes and add some rental properties to my currently nonexistent portfolio . I will soon be going back to my hometown Buffalo,NY to find the rental properties I previously mentioned. I'm looking to expand upon the business relationships I have made thus far. Since I have been on BiggerPockets I have found so many people able and willing to help me. I can't wait to network with more people and hopefully some day soon be able to add value to each business relationship.
