@Christina Mao I am interested in the ADU strategy to house hack. I'm sure every city is different but do you know what the permitting costs for your area to permit a new ADU or convert a garage?

@Joel Becerra I have not built one but am very interested in this. I would like to rent out an ADU to offset a mortgage payment. Thanks for sharing about the event. That could be cool.

One thing i'm still not clear on is if every city is different with the laws. Isn't it a State law and the rules are all the same?

@Brendan Hales Nice to meet you. I have no experience wholesaling but would be interested to hear what people have to say about tax delinquency also.

@Account Closed There is a concept that I have always liked: We all have an unfair advantage. Capitalize on that advantage.

For architects this can be powerful. They understand building. Can make properties look cool with low cost materials. Good luck on the flipping!

@Hayden Prather Congratulations on the house hack opportunity. Sounds fun. I would just make sure you are setting aside money for maintenance and capital expenditures. Use one of the BP calculators to make sure you are accounting for all of the purchase costs and expenses. Best of luck.

@Nathan Vaughan Super interested to hear more about converting it to multiple units. What is this process like? Is this just a personal project or will it be considered a multi-family building when you are all done?

@Nathan Vaughan The density bonus is an interesting thing. Very cool.

@Colin L. Good info on the affordable units. This development stuff is so in depth but super fun. For those willing to learn the ins and outs it could be a valuable thing.

@Colin L. Thanks for this. I did not know about the no impact fees if less than 750 sq ft. That’s really good to know.
