Jonathan Hsieh I too am from redding, ca. It's cool to connect with other individuals in the area on this site. I too am fairly new as we bought our first deal last year. It can be done in this Area. I have enjoyed some of the articles BP has put out on their blog.

@Tessa Swift I understand your situation. California is a bear. I am also fairly new to this game. Living a little further north than you (in Redding) has given my wife and I an opportunity to buy a four-plex cheaper than most homes in California. You might consider looking in some smaller towns within driving distance from you.
