I started investing in real estate when I was 21 years old. It is all about persistence and networking with professionals such as realtors, brokers and mentors. You need to become an expert in your market, examine market trends, see which neighborhoods are the best to invest in and always add value to your acquisitions after you manage to get them. I have been doing well here in the Miami / Miami Beach area for the past several years.

Eviction lists? I think getting access to foreclosure listing would be more beneficial no? I am a real estate investor here in Miami. Having good relationships with a realtor that specializes in foreclosure or REO listings that are associated with a bank is always great to have. Like everyone else has mentioned, Miami is very competitive, especially the Miami Beach, and a lot of deals are off the market and given to individuals by brokers who they know are reliable and can trust to close if presented the opportunity. You need to put yourself out there,network, build relationships with the right people and act on leads fast and close with cash. These are basic principles of real estate, but they are heightened to max in Miami. I have been actively investing for 2 years now and finally have established the right relationships and making very successful deals happen with great returns.
