@Brian Mihaljevich Semper Fi Marine! I'm in Oceanside and I'm currently in the process of converting an addition into and ADU at my house. A lady in the building department at the City of Oceanside informed me we would have to sign something with the city attorney's office stating that our ADU would not be used for STR.

If you research ADU's in California you will find that they are being pushed so heavily to address the lack of housing in the state so most of the cities are aiming at that intent and are doing a lot of follow-up by checking the STR sites for violators. I'll bet the fines are steep when they catch one.

I've used Daniel Marshall from The Marshall Law Firm. He did a great job for me a couple years ago and I've referred a few people to him as well that were completely satisfied.

Noah, maybe your travels will be a great way to meet other investors who might be interested in partnering with you on your Kansas City projects. I seem to regularly run into people who want to word outside California.

Hey Bernard, there are several on Meetup.com. BiggerPockets policy prohibits us from listing them though. If you can't find them, send me a direct message and I can give you the names, places, etc. Hope to meet you at one soon.

@David Desousa Welcome to BP. Locally, there's a great real estate investment club here in Oceanside that meets on the 3rd Tuesday each month at the El Camino Country Club. Look it up on Meetup.com. I hope to see you there.

Hi Zane. I'm here in Oceanside too. I do hard money lending for fix and flips, construction, and bridge loans. Connect with me if you think I might be able to help you out.

@Mike Horan you can find about 5 different ones in San Diego County on the Meetup website. Check them all out and see which ones you like the best.

Just the title says it all. I would appreciate any recommendations on finding of a hard money lender in San Diego.

I work for Trilion Capital in San Diego and hard money lending is all we do. Look me up and give me a call.

Thank You! I am looking into those 4, are you any of these REIA's or know anybody or have any connections into it?

Yes, I'm on the NSDREI board.
