Welcome @Josiah Mosley I would suggest reading the Ultimate beginners guide offered by BP. Also listen to their podcast and explore this site and get involved with discussion and questions you may have. Check recent posts as some questions may have just been asked and answered. But you are taking a step in the right direction, I cant tell you in just this post how thankful I am of the other investors and their encouragement, tips and advice they have been willing to offer.

Also seek out REI groups in your area and try to make some meetings there also!

Best wishes and let me know if I could be of some assistance

Excellent post @Stephen Barton and great comment @Essie Dodson !!

As a newbie myself it's posts like this that are priceless I can definitely relate to your comment Essie and I think we can both take Stephen's advice on finding a deal as something to "offer" for a little education and help from a veteran investor in our areas. Posts like these from fellow newbies keep me coming to BP and keep me motivated! We are all gonna make it we just have to hang in there yawl!!

Thanks alot @Antonio Coleman I will definitely make sure to have a strong "call to action" I appreciate the advice!

Thanks @Rene Martinez I am going to look at both of the sites you mentioned, thanks for sharing your experience and offering advice!

Just wanted a take on the experiences of any who have had success with yellow letters that were handwritten versus typed-print and if it really does matter.

I want to seem personal and show personal interest in the seller so I am assuming handwritten may help in that regard, but my handwriting sucks!

Any suggestions or experiences will be appreciated.

Thanks BP fam!

Hey @Patrick Russell  Im new as well but I will share a bit of advice I received from a investor. I was focused on putting together my buyer's list as well and that has been kindda holding me back from moving forward with my business. She suggested just getting some properties under contract and the buyers will find you once you list it. Remember as a wholesaler we try to find properties not listed with motivated sellers and this appeals to buyers. So Im trying to contact sellers of distressed, vacant, or absentee owners and getting them under contract then posting ads on craigslist, backpage, even here in marketplace and as I communicate with potential buyers I am also creating a buyers list for future deals as well. Also dont forget to try to network at local reia meetings where you may have  a chance to rub elbows with buyers in your area.

Hope this helps some :)

Thats sounds like  good productive system @Trevor Ewen I always was interested in stocks just never took the time to do research. My plan is similar to yours except I plan to use wholesaling to build capital to buy some buy and holds and hopefully move forward from there. Thanks alot for sharing your story!

@Derrick Craig Wow so you kindda was forced to make a move one way or the other, back against the wall! Seemed like everything was stable then they closed the doors. Well I'm glad things worked out and you are here to help out on the site. Great story thanks for sharing!
