Ray,

Thank you for your response sir. Perception is just that important I see especially when you are asking a person that is really motivated to trust you with being able to get the done.

Tim,

Thank you for your response. This was something that I wondered about.

@Michael Modesto

Thank you very much sir... You are so right about how the momentum snowballs once you take action. I am preaching this now to everyone that I know on the importance of taking "action" regardless of what they are doing.

I would like to know your thoughts...

If you are a motivated seller and you see two cars at the gas station with magnet signs that read "We Buy Houses Cash, Any Condition" along with the phone number. One of the cars is a BMW 5 Series and the other car is a 2001 Honda Accord which needs a paint job. Which REI do you approach?

Dev,

Thank you sir, I really enjoyed reading your response with a quote from Thomas Fuller. If we want to be successful in this business we have to get things done. No more of sitting on the sideline and watching everyone else accomplish their goals and dreams from investing in RE.

Quincy,

Thank you sir and Great job for getting your first batch of yellow letters out. It is a good feeling knowing that you took action for something that is unknown. Definitely continue to stay focused on your end goal and your "WHY", which is the reason you got started. Good hunting my brother.

My first serious action came almost two months ago, when I made it up in my mind that I was going to invest in Real Estate as a vehicle to begin building wealth, so I filed Platinum Homes and Redevelopment, LLLC. After making that decision and taking action to file the business with the state, i received a phone call from a colleague relative wanting me to take a look at her property, which we ended up signing a contract to do a short sale on the property. After that phone call, I started my direct mail campaign, which I received my first returned called from a motivated seller on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. On the same day I received the phone call from the motivated seller, I made a phone call to another motivated seller with a FSBO sign in her yard, which we were able to schedule a date for me to stop by her home this Saturday. After visiting the property of the first motivated seller that contacted me from one of my yellow letters today, I realized that REI was truly what I want to do, so I wanted to make sure I was going to take action to truly invest in ME...

I am a PRO Member on BP now without doing my first deal, but I feel blessed and highly favored to be apart of such a great community...

I agree with @Christian Marin and @Dashon Jones. I went to the 2 day seminar and paid to attend the 3 day advance seminar. Honestly, I learned more than what I knew about REI at the time. One thing that I took away from the 3 days was implementing "Power Hour" into my daily life. So, I make sure I set aside one hour a day to listen to something positive, read something positive and/or about real estate or finance; watch You Tube videos of motivational speakers (i,e., Eric Thomas, Bloomberg Game Changers, etc.) or sermons from TD Jakes.

Honestly, you may want to attend the FREE seminar to network like someone else said, but save the $200 you would pay to attend the 3 day advance seminar to invest in your REI business unless you want a salesman calling you even after the event is over with. But doing the event they will continue to tell you how they are very selective on who they choose to work with their mentors.

@David Martin

Thank you for that advice. I actually met with the seller this morning and I was able to do just that. With the both of us being Christians, we were able to find common ground and build rapport based on that fact. She did state that she wanted to go through with the deal, but I informed her that we would have to make sure her Ex-Husband is on board and I had to finish working all of the numbers before we can move forward. So I asked if she can give her ex-husband a call sometime today and see if we can meet one day over the weekend.
