How long after paying cash for investment home can you do a refi? And can you use a DSCR refi as opposed to conventional?

If someone were looking to do a DSCR loan to purchase investment STR property:

What advise can be given from getting a DSCR loan and differences between conventional and DSCR loan?

If your potentially property will gross around 30-35k annually , loan amount of 250k would this qualify?

Expenses would be around 800 monthly pre loan payments…

Are you able to deduct interest on taxes from a family private mortgage?

In Chicago in a RT-3.5 zone, you are allowed to build a dual pled units or SFH. With this type of zoning can you build a rooftop on top of a 4th floor???

How do you secure financing to purchase multiple investment Property if you can barely qualify for 1 conventional mortgage for 1st investment property?

Yes the DTI was the issue, and it should improve by then as well.

If the property also had positive cash flow would this help for the refi after one year?

Hi everyone,

Let's say you are struggling to qualify for conventional loan to for an investment home of 300k (2nd home/vacation/ STR home).

If you pay for the home cash 300k, and look to refi in 12 months, is it easier to qualify for the refi and pull 75% out (assuming appraisal is same 1 year later).

Since you struggled to qualify for the conventional for 300 k is it easier to now qualify for the refi or are the same standards used?
