Send him a box of tissues for the mental distress you've caused him James. That ought to cover the damages...

So Bert pleads not guilty. Clayton claims to be not guilty. How can this be? Was the whole situation just one big misunderstanding?

In the indictment, it said that an OP employee, directed by Bert Whalen, posed as a customer on or about 1/6/18 saying OP satisfied all of their concerns about their property. Was this here on BP? Anyone remember this post?

Yes it was here, and I think it was about 2 years ago. I don't remember which thread but I'm almost certain the account of the shill was closed.

You know what dawned on me today. I think it's very possible that Clayton Morris never actually managed a rental property himself. What do you guys think? Do you think he ever actually had any real world experience in property management before he started pumping out YouTube videos?

In fact, what experience did he have in selling real estate at all before he hooked up with Oceanpointe?

I don’t think he had any experience in real estate whatsoever. I think he watched a YouTube video then regurgitated whatever he watch into his own video and went from there.

Well, Whalen finally got his ankle monitor. Let's see if he tries to smash it off and run to Florida to sail away on his superbly luxurious yacht. Whalen doesn't quite strike me as the permanent-cultural-vacation-to-Europe type to escape this mess. I'm thinking he'll just want a beach in a Caribbean backwater and some Red Stripe.

He’s barred from consuming alcohol as a condition of his release, so no Red Stripe for him...

Yeah, well, after he smashes off his ankle monitor and flees the country, he's not going to be worried about following his bail conditions, is he? You're not keeping up with my speculative imagination, Chris! Bad keyboard cowboy! BAD!

Now why would Whalen flee? According to his lawyer, Whalen has never committed fraud and his customers remain loyal and satisfied...

I believe in a recent video, Morris claimed he was coming back for the holidays. Looks like he may be getting a nice Thanksgiving visit from the Feds at his Pocono mountain cabin.

He flaked on coming back home I believe. He was supposed to be coming back to his home town because he was holding an event in Philadelphia to "tell his side of the story."..........He was a no show. Event canceled.

According to this Twitter post, Clayton did come back to the US.
