@Sahegin Charolia - Sorry to hear your first experience did not go as planned.  You have options in Houston.  RICH is a good place, and I was actually at their meeting last night.  I host the Houston Real Deal Meetup so I am understandably biased.  Someone like @Tristan S. would be a better person to get an opinion on the quality of our meetings.  

I would encourage you to continue attending REIAs/meetups to build your network.  Go ask others for feedback/check reviews if you need to so you don't waste valuable time.  Just find one or a few you like.

I used Zoho originally but switched to podio when I saw how easy it was to customize.  You can configure it how you want.  Just be careful and not spend time configuring systems when you can use the time to make deals.

Podio is great at lead management,  and you can customize/automate it as you grow. 

As for losing your excel data,  you may want to look at  something like Google Sheets to help track revisions. 

Go crush it! 

I would suggest get educated first.   BP has lots of resources for that.   SF and MF are different animals, and both are great.  You may find you like one over the other as you grow in the business. 

Also,  go network with as many investors as you can.
