We are super excited to welcome Jay Neal and Renee Simpson from Advanced Wealth Strategies, Inc., as our speakers this month! If you were in the room for our June meetup, the conversation steered toward several other strategies to fund or expand our investment portfolios; so, we figured it was time to bring in the experts!

Renee and Jay founded Advanced Wealth Strategies after working as colleagues at a large financial planning firm together. They realized that while they had the same passion and philosophies, they had different perspectives and skillsets that could benefit one another's clients. Prior to financial planning, Jay owned businesses in the investment real estate industry. He enjoyed the advising part of those businesses and decided to transition into the more comprehensive financial advising role that he enjoys today. Renee followed in her grandfather's footsteps after college and entered the financial planning business where she specializes in overall retirement tax strategies as well as being certified as a special needs advisor. In addition to providing guidance on wealth accumulation, their practice focuses on protecting your wealth and developing effective tax strategies when you begin to access those assets.

Renee and Jay are a WEALTH of knowledge and I highly recommend being in this room to learn alongside them! We look forward to seeing you guys this month! Please feel free to bring anyone you think may also enjoy this!

This month's Lake Norman Real Estate Meetup is Wednesday, June 15th at 6:30 pm and we will be meeting in person at Sabi Asian Bistro in Davidson (Exit 30) at 130 Harbour Place Drive, Davidson, NC 28036!

We are super excited to have Scott Morongell as our speaker this month! Scott is a real estate entrepreneur and managing principal at Morongell Capital, LLC. Additionally, he has a transactional funding company and a wholesale company that specializes in land (primarily infill lots) and some subdivides. His passion for real estate lies in providing residents with a clean, safe, and affordable place to call home while giving investors an opportunity to invest in a risk-adjusted hard asset. Scott currently has a portfolio of 650+ units worth over $78,000,000. At Morongell Capital, Scott is focused on acquisitions and investor relations.

Scott is going to be walking us through each of his three (rapidly growing) businesses and why they are each a key piece to his overall real estate investment strategy, how to understand and identify new markets to transition into, and how he underwrites deals. Scott is a WEALTH of knowledge and I highly recommend being in this room to learn alongside him!

We look forward to seeing you guys this month! Please feel free to bring anyone you think may also enjoy this!

This month's Lake Norman Real Estate Meetup is Wednesday, May 18th at 6:30 pm and we will be meeting at Sabi Asian Bistro in Davidson (Exit 30) at 130 Harbour Place Drive, Davidson, NC 28036!

We are super excited to have Samuel Winthrop, with Winthrop & Winthrop Law, speak this week about laws, procedures, and popular legal topics for real estate professionals. We will be diving into topics such as when and how to use certain contract clauses (and the cautions with doing so), changes in real estate law coming down the pipeline, and the eviction process!

This is going to be such a valuable opportunity to get inside an expert's mind so make sure to set aside some time to be here and bring that list of questions!

We look forward to seeing you guys this week! Please feel free to bring anyone you think may also enjoy this!

Hey @Chris Jeub! Unfortunately, we did not. We could not get everything lined up in time with all the COVID stuff hitting our primary lenders and decided not to move forward. Still love the idea and I wish you the best of luck!

This month's Lake Norman Real Estate Meetup is Wednesday, April 20th at 6:30 pm and we are super excited to have one of our own regular attendees, Dan Schiermeyer, as our speaker this month!

Dan moved to Charlotte in 2016 and currently works as a Manufacturing Engineer for a Nascar team. He purchased his first house shortly after moving here, and utilized the house hacking style to live for free. In 2020, he purchased his first commercial real estate investment, Suds Nā€™ Shine Car Wash, on Old Statesville Road. 7 months later, he purchased his first self storage facility! He has since been working on adding value to both investments as well as creating a plan for growth in the future that will allow him to exit his W2 job and continue to grow his small business portfolio to enjoy life on his time šŸ‘

Dan is going to be walking us through why a car wash and self storage are GREAT investments, how he found and put the deals together, how they are performing, and what he would do different if he could do it again.

This is going to be such a valuable opportunity to learn about commercial real estate in addition to the residential investments we are all doing and I highly recommend you make sure you are in this room!

Hey @William Garland! Congrats on the purchase, that sounds awesome! Our other Airbnbs were SFR in the city so unfortunately aren't much comparison. I didn't get much farther than researching other glamping offerings in the mountains before COVID struck and derailed our original plan. I wish you the best of luck!

This month's Lake Norman Real Estate Meetup is Wednesday, March  16th at 6:30 pm and we will be meeting in person at Sabi Asian Bistro in Davidson (Exit 30) at 130 Harbour Place Drive, Davidson, NC 28036!

We are super excited to have Joe Saele and Eddie David with the J Galt Finance Suite as our speakers this month!

Both Joe and Eddie have extensive real estate investing experience across the board and their passion lies in helping other investors gain financial freedom through building a rock-solid EIN business credit profile so they can grow, scale, and compete with the big kids without risking their personal assets.

They are going to be walking us through their step-by-step system to set up our businesses credibly, establish a positive business credit profile and score quickly, obtain vendor, store, fleet, and cash credit in our business name with business reporting, and become more lendable by building our business credit, all without being linked to your SSN!

This is going to be a HUGE asset to add (or refine) in your business and I highly recommend you make sure you are in this room.

We look forward to seeing you guys next week! Please feel free to bring anyone you think may also enjoy this!

Noel will be highlighting Better Path Home's journey as a team into the wholesale world, how they specially crafted their unique selling process, and how they have earned the title as one of the most honest teams in the business.

She will also have an open Q & A session, so feel free to bring any questions you may have about their buying/selling process, how to make competitive offers to wholesalers, selling deals more efficiently, communicating with sellers, or any general questions about wholesaling!

Look forward to seeing you there!
