We installed 2 new units in a duplex in the past year. One was a 90+ one was 80. We also opted to install the coil for A/c and it came out to be around 2200 all in per unit .

how much are you getting for rent? Could you get more for original hardwoods? What's the cost difference for a laminate I'm sure it's pretty close unless you lay them on your own.

I had about 2 k dollars worth of tools stolen.  Very discouraging and makes you want cruel and unusual punishment legal.  Hang in there .

So I'd say peel as much as you can. Then seal and skim coat it. You'd be surprised how easy it really comes off. It seems the best is a 1 1/2" stiff knife. Get a sanding stone to keep the blade sharp. Bring plenty of elbow grease.

@debmerill

From what I understand about thermo and moisture protection. It's mostly about how well insulated and air sealed your home that will affect your heating and cooling results in terms of comfort and energy usage/ savings. The size of the home / room , energy supplier and fuel type will determine what your heating and cooling means. For example if you don't live close to a gas public utility you ll be looking at all electric appliances from what I understand they are cheap but expensive to maintenance. Hope that helps

if you live close to a floor and decor they sell  prefabricated slabs or stone which can be used for counter tops. You have to pick and install yourself or via contractor but the savings is worth it. You can also find places online that will deliver slabs but I haven't done that yet and I only found one that seems to do small quantities.

generally it comes with a five to ten year color guarantee. It seems to be worth it if you  if you don't have a high-traffic area or landscaping to do every year .  If you're a person who does it yourself then the savings my only be justified in the costing over time obviously you take longer to to recoup the cost of regular mulch  especially if you are getting it in bulk .  I prefer to do all rocks because they'll never go bad
