Post: Setting up a New Property Management company in Columbus Ohio

Good morning Phil,

It was my understanding that you need to be a licensed agent just to be a property manager for your own or for someone else's properties in Ohio. I do not see any issue with running a property management company as a agent only and do not see why you would have to hold a broker's license. @peterlohman?

Currently, we are using trello.com (FREE!) which is a online project management company. Very easy to use and sends out tickets to contractors, managers, etc. They also have a very user friendly app for smart phones.

I strongly believe in owning your own property management company for larger number doors. This frees up your time for financing, finding deals and purchasing.

When are you coming to Columbus? Id love to chat with you on how we are structuring our company and our game plan! Sounds we have a very similar approach!

Thanks bud,

Steve

Sounds like we have very similar goals!

We are buy and hold investors, but are going to determine the best outcome in a case-by-case manner. Meaning, we would, flip, lease option, wholesale or even sell turn-key, if the numbers make sense.

Do you have a buyers list established? If so, will you please add me to it?

What type of marketing are you using?

Feel free to PM me for the MLS pass.

Thanks!

Steve

Philip Cutting hey bud. It's about $2000 for classes, books and the test in Columbus via Hondros. Every year it's costs close to $1100 in fees and renewals. What are your investment goals? [edited]

Hi @Lynn Burks !

We were actually hosting a monthly Meetup in Dublin, but are switching to a quarterly format.

Stay tuned as we are planning to ramp up our meetings with some special guests!

Are you set up for keywords?

Thanks!

Steve

HI @Ben Leybovich , We are going to have to pull back to quarterly meetings and find a new location due to attendance of our last meeting.

We started strong, but the numbers kept falling off.

Let me know if you have any suggestions on how we could approach/gain momentum.

Thanks!

Steve

It has been brought to my attention that the keyword alerts may not be working for the events section.

I wanted to start a new tread to announce tonight's Columbus Ohio meet up group.

We have had great turnouts as this is a monthly group (first monday of the month), a good mix of newbies, flippers, wholesalers and lenders.

Come out tonight and be ready to network!

6pm Yogi's on Hard Rd. in Dublin

Let me know if you have any questions,

Thanks,

Steve

Hi @Tim E. ,

We will be meeting the first Monday in July, which looks like July 7th. Its a great way  to network with people who are investing around Columbus.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks!
