I would assume, at best just vacation rentals. But again, I'm blind to the market in the Poconos, I have only invested in the Philly area.

John Geldert Hi John, Would you recommend any specific areas in the Poconos? Also, opinions on vacation rentals, worth it or stick with long term?

David Bokman Hi David, I would like to exchange contacts and potentially work together. I have been investing in the outskirts of Philly for a couple years now, but my business partner and I would like to explore new areas in PA. I have became very familiar with Bucks and would love to see what you may have to offer. PM me please at your earliest convenience. Thanks

Robert M. Congratulations!! your last message just rated #1 for the most ignorant and absent minded comment published on BP this week. As well as, displaying how ridiculous your lack of knowledge of investing money in real estate is a major aspect, if not the most valuable purpose of investing. RE investing is meant to make you money not lose it. I'm not sure if you understand the concept behind investments and business. I would ask how you go about investing, but that's your decision what areas and how you go about investing your money, not mine. Perhaps your the Now, take a business minded individual and pair it with passion that's exactly what I am and most investors are. Do not assume you know me ever again, or my intentions to invest in neighborhoods with huge economical deficits. Money is a huge advantage when investing, any dummy knows that, but without the passion or compelling enthusiasm one has for RE you will barely ever make money. I'll break it down for you, maybe this way you comprehend other advantages to investing in RE. What I do also encourages growth while protecting long-term homeowners and creating neighborhoods that are economically and racially diverse such as certain areas in Philly. Your comment holds no purpose in this discussion its a very broad statement to claim about someone you don't even know. Seeing, I have dealt with squatters that were completely out of my control makes me corrupt??? Excuse me, with all do respect, DON'T ever write about my values, because you're an uninformed ignorant fool. I suppose I should run away from a neighborhood that makes my investments properties an income all due to demographics? You really should be a guru with the advice you give! Honestly, the only problem I see here is....Next time you decide to push respond in a discussion revisit your own "values" and your own "corrupt" ways of thinking to nonsense comments such as yourself.

Lana Boychuk Hey Lana, I noticed your from Staten Island and my business partner and I live in Howard Beach, although Im originally from Bronx my partner Bk and lived in SI as well. We own residential rentals and commercial properties throughout the boroughs and philly. I recently became very interested in getting involved in the MH industry, seeing your so close to home I would love to ask you a couple of questions and get some advice. BP isn't allowing me to message you, is there any other way to get in contact with you? Thanks, any info would be great!

Jay Hinrichs I'm from NY, my properties in NY and Connecticut those are all multi family homes in great neighborhoods. The most amazing tenants, I actually hate to see them leave they are that great. But...I also invest in philly. The housing prices are drastically different from NY. I buy very low and operate with a lower rehab cost. There is always going to be 2 or 3 out of the batch that no matter where your properties are located have the potential to give you problems. But,the specific area I was speaking of prior were 2 homes I bought at auction that had been vacant. Hence, making it a squatters dream home. They were not hand picked tenants. I love philly but there is a high population of homelessness. But, in turn if an investment property makes me money, which Philly certainly has at this point I'm going to keep investing. Im sure you know this business has its ups and downs, and I can handle a squatter or irate tenant once in awhile. Your definitely lucky to not have to deal with some of the bad and ugly sides of RE investing.

Greg S. I'm sorry but that is NOT the legal definition of extortion.
