Finally Leaving My W-2 J.O.B. Pumped!
It's been a while since I've made a post on the forums(for many reasons). I'd thought I'd give an update on this since I mentioned as my main goal on the BP podcast #73. I'm finally leaving my W-2 job this Wednesday (Feb 24th) and I'll be fully self employed then. I'm really looking forward to be more in control of how I spend my time, as it was the main purpose of all my investing in the first place!
Although I did not reach retirement income requirements through REI cash flow alone(started another business venture as well), my portfolio is a big part of why I feel comfortable taking this step. I'm looking forward to doing a lot more deals and having a lot more fun!
Big thanks to @Dawn Anastasiand @Ramon Jenkinsfor all the hard work they've do on the ground in MKE! Thanks everyone for helping me on this journey.
I'm hoping, now that I have about 8-10 more hours of each day during the week available, I'll be able to be a bit more active on the forums.
Thanks @Brandon Turnerand @Joshua Dorkintoo :) By the way Josh, I fired that bad PM and that property is smooth sailing now!
Huge Congrats to @Mehran K. on this accomplishment! As an RE investor - there is no bigger measure of success than to be able to live the life of freedom and on your own terms. And your post is inspiring me to write my own little post announcing my leaving of the W2 job for good (..It happened on Jan 22, 2016) :)
Thanks @J. Martinfor tagging me and acknowledging that you owe me a pitcher now !

@Dave VisayaI completely forgot to reach out to you when I was in PI. I was actually in Cebu around Sinulog! I should be going back to Manila at the end of March. I'm not sure if I'll be visiting Cebu this time though. I will try to reach out!

@Mehran K.Cool, I figured it was e commerce related being it's online. I think I was asking what that service or product is? Perhaps it is a secret:) Sounds awesome either way. How do you like Porter Ranch?
@Mehran K. Really cool news -- glad to hear it!

Thanks Damien!
Mehran,
Congratulations! Your first podcast gave me the inspiration of looking outside Southern California. I live in Orange County, CA and the house prices out here are ridiculous. The numbers to make sense for buy and holds out here. I was wondering what you think are the out of state areas where the numbers do make sense? I know you and Dawn do deals in Milwaukee, but I was wondering if you have done deals in any other areas.
