Hello @Julie Posey! BiggerPockets is a great place to start as a new real estate investor. I don't know how far into your education you are, but be sure to check out BP's Ultimate Beginner's Guide to Real Estate investing for a basic overview of everything. J Scott's the Book on Flipping Houses is great as well, and it's perfect for you because you want to flip houses.

Both the BP podcast and the AskBP podcast are also great for when you don't have time to read or interact on BP. Even though I am still new myself, feel free to reach out if you need anything!

Another Nevada resident here! Welcome Trevor. Since you are just starting out, I would recommend reading the Ultimate Beginner's Guide to Real Estate from BP. It gives a great overview of all areas of real estate, and this will allow you to narrow your vision to one area of real estate. 

You can also listen to the BP podcast and the AskBP podcast whenever you can to get some good information. I am still soaking up all the information I can currently, so if you have any questions about BP or real estate in general feel free to ask!

I'm sorry to hear about the job loss, but sometimes you need a kick in the rush to get started on your dreams! There's lots of great information here on the forums and on the blogs.
