Recommended Real Estate Investment Analysis Course?
I'm looking for a course to help with real estate investment analysis, for commercial properties and residential buy&hold and flips. Ideally the course will provide tools that I can take with me when presenting deals to clients. Probably the most important thing is to have a teacher with real world experience. OK if this is 100% online and not interactive, but I prefer something with feedback.
Here are 2 that I have found so far, any other recommendations?
Market Analysis for Commercial Investment Real Estate - CCIM Institute
Real Estate Investment Analysis - Syllabus (UCLA Extension)
HARVARD UNIVERSITY EXTENSION SCHOOL has a program and they use this book.
- Clay Smith
(cough) Bigger Pockets! has all the information a person could possible need if a person takes the time to search for it or ask questions.
that is the same book that the ucla course is using, also Harvard's program is not online. I need something online.
Not sure if this is what you're looking for but try this:
- Real Estate Finance I - iTunes Video - Joshua Kahr, Columbia University
- Real Estate Finance III - iTunes Video - Joshua Kahr, Columbia University
@Jay Oldham Good find! Anyone go through this course? Looks like it could have some good info.
Cornell University also has two online real estate certificates via 6 courses, one in commercial real estate and one in Hotel Investments and Asset Management.
Wondering if anyone else has tried these courses and can share their experience?
Hi Troy. Did you find a course or anyone who provided feedback on Cornells class? I am interested in the same. I use the Biggepockets tools but want a more in depth knowledge to add to my resume.

Hi Melody, in the end I decided not to sign up and go with more self education for now.
