Hello Bigger Pockets family !! My name is Chris and I've been reading the forums for a couple years now and decided to finally start posting. I'm 23, in college, and have worked at a local hardware store going on 7 years now. Real estate has always been an interest of mine and I'm hoping to purchase my first property in the next 4-6 months. I'd like to start out rehabbing and eventually acquire a multi-family to owner occupy. I've been to one CT REIA meeting so far earlier this year and plan to start regularly attending and making introductions. If there's any established investors and rehabbers in my area I'd love to meet up and pick your brains !!
What took you so long Chris! J/K, glad you decided to engage the community, keep it up and welcome to BP Nation.
Welcome to the Best Real Estate Site on the Net.
It is always nice to see another Ct., resident in the forums.

Welcome to BP! It is great seeing People from New England on here. CT REIA is one of the biggest REIA's in New England. I have to make the trip there again in the next few months.
Welcome another CT member!!! You'll be busy for a while just reading up the knowledge here. Keep us posted on what you end up with.
@Will Barnard @Raymond B. @John Fossetti @George Paiva
Thank You all and I've learned so much already just reading the wealth of information here on BP I can't wait to make my first real post soon with some of the many questions I have regarding a potential deal I'd like to get the jump on !!

Check out J Scott http://www.biggerpockets.com/flippingbook The Book on Flipping houses and The Book on Estimating Rehab Costs. Both excellent reads.
You might consider Niche Housing like Student Housing where the rents are 2-4 times more. Remember you don't have to own it to control it.
